What we recruit, and why it is hard.
Every role below is one we have already filled. The difficulty is never finding a CV; it is finding the twenty people in the country who can actually run the plant, and convincing one of them.
Five ecosystems, one talent pool.
Energy-from-waste & incineration
Municipal and industrial waste-to-energy plants: furnace and boiler operation, flue-gas treatment, energy recovery, availability targets and emission limits.
Biomass
Biomass boiler houses and power plants for industrial steam or district heating, including first-of-a-kind projects and plants under construction.
SRF & cogeneration
Solid-recovered-fuel cogeneration units, CHP plants and industrial utilities. Our reference: the site director of the first SRF cogeneration plant in Brittany.
Anaerobic digestion & biogas
Continuous-process sites, often rural, with 5-shift rotas and on-call duties. We recruit within a realistic commuting radius, not on paper.
District heating networks
Network operations directors, heat-plant managers and maintenance leads for urban heating and cooling networks.
Industrial decarbonisation & efficiency
Decarbonisation directors, energy managers, ISO 50001 leads, process and utilities engineers for energy-intensive industries.
From the 3-shift leader to the operations director.
Site leadership
- Site director / plant director
- Operations director
- Production manager
- Maintenance manager
- HSE / QHSE manager
Process & engineering
- Process engineer (thermal, combustion)
- Project engineer / project manager
- Methods & reliability engineer
- Energy manager / ISO 50001 lead
- Decarbonisation director
Operations
- Shift leader (3×8, 5×8)
- Senior control-room operator
- Electrical & automation lead
- Commissioning manager
Four reasons a job posting will not work.
A very small pool
A few hundred people in France know how to run a waste-to-energy or biomass plant at management level. Most are employed and satisfied.
Continuous process and on-call duty
24/7 availability, shift rotas, incidents at 3 a.m.: the role selects for temperament as much as for skills.
Remote sites
Plants sit in industrial or rural areas. Relocation is part of every conversation, and it has to be handled early and honestly.
Availability is the P&L
A vacant site director costs months of under-performance. The cost of a bad hire is eighteen to twenty-four months of salary.
What you receive, in writing.
- 01A market read before the search starts: who exists, where, at what salary, with what mobility.
- 02A scorecard agreed with the hiring executive, used for every interview.
- 03A shortlist in two to three weeks, with technical assessment, motivation and salary expectations.
- 04Negotiation and notice-period management, then a structured 90-day onboarding follow-up.
